Former BJP MP Dilip Ghosh blamed the West Bengal government for the cancellation of 26,000 teacher appointments, alleging it wasted time in court instead of fixing recruitment issues. “The government was busy running around the court instead of taking corrective action. Now, hardworking individuals who rightfully secured jobs are suffering,” he said. The Calcutta High Court scrapped the appointments over corruption and procedural violations. Ghosh accused the ruling Trinamool Congress of shielding the guilty and lacking transparency. The state plans to appeal as protests continue.
